LCOY Canada 2026 is Canada’s official youth-led climate conference
LCOY Canada 2026 LCOY Canada 2026 (Local Conference of Youth Canada) is Canada's official youth-led climate conference under the YOUNGO constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Bringing together young leaders, researchers, educators, Indigenous voices, policymakers, and industry experts from across the country, the conference provides a platform for meaningful dialogue on Canada's most pressing climate challenges and opportunities. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and collaborative policy sessions, participants will develop the National Youth Statement (NYS), which represents the collective voice of Canadian youth and contributes to the Global Youth Statement presented at the annual Conference of Youth (COY) and the UN Climate Change Conference (COP). LCOY Canada 2026 aims to empower youth aged 15–35 to become informed climate leaders, foster cross-sector collaboration, and inspire innovative, equitable, and actionable solutions for a sustainable future in Canada and beyond.
